The person could be a professor in a completely different field and that would take away from the credibility. The other thing that I think needs to be improved is the forcefulness. An essay should be there to force a person into believing something but this essays tone seems a little to laid back considering the one type of audience it is addressing. The final point that I am trying to make is that you cannot write and argument to two different groups. I think that the author should only address a sympathetic audience because of the tone of the passage. If people can relate to this essay then the essay with be strong but if people can’t relate to it then the essay will be weak.
